Bonjour Paris

Pictures from our Paris trip!

Sacre Coeur - church on a hill in Montmartre area where we stayed the first two nights
Brenna and I in front of Sacre Coeur
More Sacre Coeur
Montmartre area artists
Our hostel in Montmartre area - the Regent Hostel - we had 6 people in our room, including us
Sacre Coeur at night
Place St. Michel Fountain
we learned that you can tell how a person died by the way his horse is standing...one leg up in front and one leg up in back means he died of unnatural causes (this guy was killed by the guillotine)...two legs up in front means he died in battle, and all four legs on the ground means he died of natural causes
Pont Neuf Bridge - aka the bridge of love - each lock is put there by a man to symbolize his "permanent" love for whoever. He is supposed to buy a lock, write on it, lock it to the bridge, and throw the key in the river, symbolizing the permanence of the lock, and of course his love.
The Louvre
Invisible pyramids outside the Louvre
Fountain outside the Louvre
fountain that Anne Hathaway throws her cell phone into in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada"
Probably the most famous street in Paris
Arc de Triomphe

Inverted invisible pyramid inside the Louvre
Dinner the first night - croissants and brie cheese , wine, and the French version of the hot dog (two hot dogs in a baguette baked with cheese on the top). We also had crepes, but we ate those before I took a picture of our first dinner.
